Kenneth and Richard's Travels in New Zealand
a three-week teaching tour, September 2025
In September 2025, Richard Moon and Kenneth Isaacs traveled to New Zealand for a three-week teaching tour — six cities, fifteen-plus sessions, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you show up in person and stay long enough for the work to deepen.
The curriculum drew directly from the Quantum Aikido course — the teaching series available on the Quantum Aikido YouTube channel — brought into live practice through classes, workshops, and open seminars. In several cities, Kenneth led dedicated children's classes running parallel to Richard's adult sessions.

Curriculum: Quantum Aikido
What Was Taught
Sessions across the tour drew from the Quantum Aikido course — a structured teaching series covering the foundational principles of the book and their live application on the mat and in daily life.
- WIGO — What Is Really Going On: seeing beneath surface appearances to the energetic truth of a situation
- The Quantum Pause — the space between stimulus and response where real choice lives
- Unified Awareness — peripheral vision, centered presence, and the practice of receiving rather than projecting
- The Impulse to Breathe — new teaching material that emerged during the tour: noticing the moment before the breath begins as a doorway to unified awareness
- Harmony as Practice — Aiki principles applied to conflict, conversation, and leadership
New Teaching: The Impulse to Breathe
One of the most significant outcomes of the NZ tour was the articulation of a new teaching concept: the Impulse to Breathe. It emerged organically across multiple sessions as Richard worked with students at different levels and in different cultural contexts.
Before the breath, there is an impulse — a moment of pure receptivity that precedes action. Learning to inhabit that moment is the practice. That is where unified awareness lives.
This concept has strong potential as a standalone teaching — accessible as a gateway into unified awareness for students with no Aikido background, and resonant with existing practitioners as a deepening of what they already know.
Children's Program
Kenneth Isaacs led children's classes in Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, running in parallel with Richard's adult sessions on the same dates. The children's curriculum adapted core Quantum Aikido movement principles into age-appropriate exercises — centering, extending, and working cooperatively with a partner rather than against them.
This parallel track opened the tour to families and created a natural point of entry for younger practitioners, several of whom had parents attending the adult sessions.
Corporate Engagement: Godfrey & Hurst
In Wellington, Richard presented to the team at Godfrey & Hurst in a corporate session bringing Aiki principles into a business and leadership context. The session focused on conflict transformation, the quality of attention in high-stakes conversations, and how the Quantum Pause applies to decision-making under pressure.
This is one of the clearest demonstrations of the book's reach: the same principles that underlie movement on the mat apply directly to how leaders navigate conflict, ambiguity, and change.
